WELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS CARE
We're so glad you're here! Endometriosis is a painful, troubling illness affecting an estimated 176 million women and girls globally (WERF). The disease is responsible for causing pain ranging from mild to crippling; loss of countless missed work and school hours; for some, infertility or pregnancy loss; and many other financial and intangible costs. Often invalidated and ignored, many struggle with the disease in silence. However - there is hope! You've come to the right place for encouragement, education and gold standard treatment. We welcome and encourage all those who have - or think they may have - endometriosis to learn more about us and our pioneering approach of Laparoscopic Excision for the successful treatment of the disease. Please be sure to visit both of our websites (as we slowly migrate over) and join us on our social media pages to learn more, request materials, ask questions or check our references.
We consider it a privilege and an honor to try and help all women and girls struggling with endometriosis from around the globe. Let us know how we can help you, and get started here.

Learn More About the Center for Endometriosis Care: a COEMIG-designated Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology
The CEC is comprised of an award-winning team of Laparoendoscopic Excision (LAPEX) Surgeons and compassionate endometriosis specialists. Founded in 1991 by Robert B. Albee, Jr., MD, a global endometriosis pioneer, our Center was among the first in the world to offer a dedicated focus on the excisional treatment of the disease. Our world-class excision surgeons have been successfully helping women and girls of all ages from every corner of the globe to regain their quality of life for nearly two and a half decades since. At the CEC, we believe the key to treating endometriosis is to completely and meticulously remove all disease from all areas - 'excision' - including those areas others may have deemed 'impossible' to treat, such as bowels, bladder, lung and thoracic region, etc. We believe in removing endometriosis - not organs - through our "compassionate-aggressive" approach. Our CEC-accredited, COEMIG-designated surgeons are among the leading experts in the world who have created a legacy of proper care for endometriosis, using a surgical approach limited to use by those few practitioners who have dedicated their life's work to the successful treatment of endometriosis, who truly understand the disease, and who have mastered the art of minimally invasive advanced gynecologic surgery. We have successfully treated the most complex of cases, including of the lungs, diaphragm, deeply invasive gastroinestinal disease and more through over 8,000+ combined procedures in over 4,000 patients from 43 countries. Our low recurrence and high success rates are a testament to the effectiveness of LAPEX as the gold standard of care for endometriosis. Please let us know how we can help you or someone you love who may be struggling with endometriosis and pelvic pain. There is a better way! What some of our patients have said:
"Every single review of this place is accurate. I have never received such excellence in care as I did this past week! The entire staff is friendly and caring and they made this experience very pleasant!"
"7 years ago I met Dr. Sinervo. 7 years ago he changed my life. I was told I needed a hysterectomy and had no children. I was used to hearing my condition was hopeless, but I didn't want to give up all hope. I researched every drug and test and article until I came across the Center for Endometriosis Care and Dr. Sinervo. I submitted my paperwork and received a call from him personally. I made my appointments and he made promises I had heard before. My ovary had started to be covered by the endo and had by then attached to my abdominal wall. It was beyond painful. There was supposedly no hope of saving it. Dr. Sinervo told me this technique peeled away the layers until all that was left was healthy tissue. He said he could not only save my ovary and other organs, but I could have kids. I was in disbelief. He kept his promise. My ovary was saved, my body felt whole for the first time. I got pregnant without trying in less then a year, like many of his patients. My son turned 5 this April. I would have never had him had I not met Dr. Sinervo. I have lived almost 7 years in the least amount of pain and the best health since I was 12 years old. I wanted to share my story because so many of us are told there's no hope, no help, nothing can be done. Somewhere a girl who's supposedly exhausted all her options is giving up. My hope is she'll find my story and know that there is hope and there is help. I found it. You can too."
"The CEC has seen me through a rough year and gave me my life back! I am forever grateful for Dr. Ken Sinervo, Wendy Winer, Heather Guidone and his entire staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...and pelvis!"
"As a woman that had suffered since the age of 11 I had started to lose hope. Every doctor before looked past my pain and my sadness. For 13 years some doctors even said it was all in my head. After a few years you start to believe them. Until I met Dr. Sinervo and his team at The CEC! The day I sat across from Dr. Sinervo in his office forever changed my life! Not only did he see my pain....he cared! I wasn't expecting him to recognize so quickly that my life was being lead by a disease. The mere fact that he took the time to let me know that this was not a life anyone should have to live was wonderful. I left his office with a date for a new beginning and I was in tears. Not tears of sadness or pain but tears of happiness and gratitude. I am extremely happy to say now that I have NO PAIN! A few years ago I would never have thought I would be saying those words. Now I can not promise you those exact results BUT I can guarantee you will not regret trusting them with your care. I am so grateful for everyone at The CEC & the staff at Northside! A special thanks to Heather, Jean and DeDe. I wholeheartedly appreciate you ladies treating me with so much love! And of course a big hug to Dr. Sinervo! I speak for all women with ease when I say, we appreciate your vast knowledge and caring support in this fight!"
"Dr. Albee truly is a physician that takes out time to understand his patient’s needs. I was diagnosed with stage IV endo by my regular gyno and was told I needed to have surgery soon be placed on birth control and think about plans for conception soon after surgery possibly ivf if I wanted to have kids. I prayed and researched and found information about Dr. Albee based on what I read I knew I wanted him to perform my surgery. His staff were super helpful and I was able to see him immediately. Dr. Albee reviewed my medical records and detailed his thoughts on my condition and explained how he felt he could help eliminate all of the endo at the root. I would without question recommend Dr. Robert Albee as he is thorough, concise, and effective. Truly, he is a talented Dr."
"Dr. Albee was my specialist for endometriosis 10 yrs. ago and he is fabulous! I also sent my daughter to him and he handled her with tender, loving care. Thank you Dr. Albee - you ended my debilitating suffering after 30 yrs. and I am so thankful!"
"After years of pain and an unsuccessful surgery, I sought help at the CEC as a last resort. My pain was severe and interfering with my daily life, and I had recently been diagnosed with infertility. From the first contact with Heather to the post-surgery follow-up with Dr. Sinervo, the whole experience with the CEC was wonderful. Dr. Sinervo and all of the staff are compassionate, patient, and clearly experts in their field. They made every effort to answer my questions and concerns promptly both before and after surgery. My surgery with Dr. Sinervo not only relieved my pain, but I became pregnant just 3 months later without the use of fertility drugs. Today, 1.5 years later, I feel great and am enjoying my baby girl!”
