Zaraq Khan, MBBS, MCR, FACOG

Fellow, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS)

Background and Training

The CEC is extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Zaraq Khan to the Center for a MIGS Fellowship!

Dr. Khan received his medical degree with Honors from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.  He joined the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2007 where he completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.  Additionally, he completed an NIH funded Masters in Clinical Research through the CCaTS program at Mayo Clinic in 2012.

He completed his first fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility also at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2015.  He is currently finishing his second fellowship in Reproductive Surgery & Reproductive Organ Transplant as a part of a Mayo Clinic Scholar program (A scholarship sabbatical awarded to exceptional Mayo Clinic physicians).  Through this fellowship he has been travelling at centers of excellence for Reproductive Surgery/Fibroid and endometriosis surgery across North America and Europe.  He has worked in Kiel Germany at Kiel School of Endoscopy formed by Dr. Kurt Semm (a pioneer in Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgery), the Cleveland Clinic and is currently working at Center of Endometriosis Care in Atlanta, Georgia under the mentorship of Dr. Ken Sinervo.  He has been involved with Ovraian Transplantation work at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Additionally, he has been involved with the University of Gothenburg and the Cleveland Clinic in their clinical trials for Uterine Transplantation.
